CHIPS: The Intersection with States

3:00 pm EDT
Webinar

Want to know more about CHIPS? Please join the State Economic Development Executives (SEDE) Network for an October 26th webinar at 3 pm (ET) to learn more about the CHIPS and Science Act and how state governments can support applications and other activities to support the semiconductor industry.

The CHIPS and Science Act provides the Department of Commerce with $50 billion for a suite of programs to strengthen and revitalize the U.S. position in semiconductor research, development, and manufacturing—while also investing in American workers. During the webinar, the CHIPS Program Office will:

• Present open funding opportunities and the program’s goals for developing regional semiconductor industry clusters in support of U.S. economic and national security and spurring domestic manufacturing;

• Discuss how state governments can support project applications – from leading-edge facilities to current and mature companies to small supply chain firms; and

• Share insights on the important role states can play in supporting these industry clusters and the long-term success of the domestic semiconductor industry, including investments necessary to support economic and workforce development, infrastructure, and innovation ecosystems.

We are pleased to have Rachel Lipson, Senior Advisor for Policy for the CHIPS Program Office lead the timely conversation.
